Why Rent with Our Split Partner in Dubrovnik?
Our partner is based in Split and brings your car down the coast to Dubrovnik, at the airport or in town. A delivery fee may apply (for longer rentals often none), and the exact amount is always in your offer before you book. Conditions are the same as in Split: no credit card, no deposit on the partner's own cars and full insurance with nothing to pay for damage. Dubrovnik is also a great start for a one-way road trip: drive north over the Pelješac Bridge, stop in Ston and Makarska, and return the car in Split.

Local Driving Guide
Everything you need to know before you set off.
Parking in Dubrovnik
The Old Town is car-free and the streets around it are a camera-controlled zone. Park at the public garage at Ilijina Glavica, a 10–15 minute walk from Pile Gate; street spots by the walls are the most expensive.
Fuel Stations
Plentiful in town and along the motorway; self-service is standard and cash or card both work.
Toll Roads
Motorways are tolled. Until early 2027 you pay at the booths; then Croatia switches to an electronic, barrier-free system – ask the partner how it works for your dates.
Traffic Tips
The coast road into town is slow in summer, especially on cruise-ship days – drive in early or late in the day.
Speed Limits
50 km/h in towns, 90 km/h on open roads, 110 km/h on expressways and 130 km/h on motorways, unless signs say otherwise.
Electric Charging
Fewer fast chargers in the far south – charge up before the drive to Split or Montenegro.
