Why Rent with Our Split Partner in Zagreb?
Our partner is based in Split and brings your car up to Zagreb, at the airport or in the city. A delivery fee may apply (for longer rentals often none), and the exact amount is always in your offer before you book. Conditions are the same as on the coast: no credit card, no deposit on the partner's own cars and full insurance with nothing to pay for damage. Zagreb is a popular start for a one-way trip: stop at the Rastoke mills and Plitvice Lakes, drive down to the sea and return the car in Split.

Local Driving Guide
Everything you need to know before you set off.
Parking in Zagreb
Street parking in the centre (Zone 1) is limited to 2 hours. For longer stays use a public garage, and pay at the machine or with an app – SMS payment often doesn’t work with foreign numbers.
Fuel Stations
Plentiful in town and along the motorway; self-service is standard and cash or card both work.
Toll Roads
Motorways are tolled. Until early 2027 you pay at the booths; then Croatia switches to an electronic, barrier-free system – ask the partner how it works for your dates.
Traffic Tips
Weekday rush hours are busy, and on summer weekends the A1 south to the coast gets heavy – set off early.
Speed Limits
50 km/h in towns, 90 km/h on open roads, 110 km/h on expressways and 130 km/h on motorways, unless signs say otherwise.
Electric Charging
Plenty of chargers in the city, plus fast chargers along the A1 motorway to the coast.
